We all know how it's policy to throw away figures that NEVER sell for retail stores.

Nope.
It is shipped back to a warehouse for destruction.
I talked about that with the managers at the SunCoast and they mentioned that one of their people had decided since it was going to be destroyed, he was OK to take some figures for himself and friends. He has been meeting a lot of new friends in ways he didn't he ever would sitting in a jail cell for theft.

Basically the local stores get credit for the fugures that are sent back. They have to list what is going back and when received at the warehousing facility, the store is given credit. It counts as an internal sales to the local store.
So the problem comes in if the items are not sold locally, they are "sold back" to the warehouse and the store gets money.
So if they walk out before heading back to the warehouse, even for planned destruction, it is taking an item without paying for it.
It is a shame, though... the fact that toys get destroyed. [img]frown.gif[/img]

You know, like a lot of FFA girls do when they raise that pig during scholl to find out at the end once they sell it it is going to become a few pork chops, some bacon, and a couple of good Hams.
